Eagle Cliff: This relatively small (8,906') pyramid shaped mountain sits at the base of the South Lateral Moraine and blocks Moraine Park, almost as a giant terminal moraine. It is seen upon entrance to the Park through the Beaver Meadows entrance, directly to your left.
The Golden Eagle, with its seven foot wing spread, is infrequently seen in the Front Range or in the Park. This mountain would be a welcome resting place for its large frame, especially with the view of Moraine Park below, full of rodents waiting to be eaten.#
